Is it legal to buy a lower receiver from asia?
Hello. My lower receiver on my airsoft gun is broken and I'd like to order parts in Canada but I can't find any. Could I just order a plastic CYMA lower receiver from eHobby Asia?

Short answer is yes its legal, but its more about whether the guy at the border will CARE whether its airsoft or not, if he sees it and thinks its real/doesnt know airsoft exists, it wont get through
Ive gotten trademarked M4 lowers into canada, but i guarantee its just luck |

If it's an m4 lower, you could gamble and order a g&g lower from boneyard section on buyairsoft. It's $15 plus shipping&taxes. It might be a drop in, it might need some modding. They have ak plastic bodies in same section too for $10'ish I think.

Here's the rule; and you did not specify what particular AEG you had so it's hard to speak in absolutes.
If the part that you order is the part that the real firearm has it's serial number stamped on then you have a problem. Those are a regulated parts. In practice that means you can order all the Glock slides you want but no frames. You can order all the M4 uppers you want but no lower receivers. You can import all the P90 lowers you want but no uppers. When it comes to the CBSA it's all a judgement call. Some agents will seize mechboxes because they have a trigger. Others will let Guarder Glock frames pass because they know they can't fit a real firearm. If you're not sure about what you're ordering you're really rolling the dice.

That is technically a do not pass go, do not collect $200 item.

Receivers are grey area items.
Can you prove that the receiver is part of an airsoft gun that shoots 366+ FPS? |

Once they sign the paperwork, you're going to be fucked out of your item and your money you paid for it, there will be no arguing unless the agent dealing with your case is willing to listen.
