installing fixed serial tag on TM G26 (not safety plate)

I'm pretty sure this applies to all TM glocks.

for TM, the serial plate also acts as a safety, and it looks like this:

however, I'm trying to install a guarder serial plate that looks like this:

I'm not able to lock in the guarder serial plate in place since there is no way for the chassis screw to hold it down. in the original plate, there's the hole for the screw to go through.

On mine it stays in place no problem when assembled.

Not really. I'd have to pull the front chassis out to do that and my dance card is full.

Putting that part in place is pretty well child's play.

not really child's play considering the front chassis need to be removed to lock down the tag block:

It's easy... I got it in and out no problem you just have to depress the serial safety mechanism spring when placing the chassis back iirc...

I guess you're just not up to par with danke yet...

the tag that I'm installing is not the safety tag so it can't move and there is no locking mechanism to keep it in place in the frame. as you can see in the pic here, the tag ends where the screw starts

the original serial tag that acts as a safety has a loop to allow the chassis screw to go in

On further consideration that may only fit G17s.
