best quick spring change gearbox/shell v2

I am planning a new build using titan mosfet and quick spring change gearbox.

I know these gearboxes can have their own set of challenges but I am very inclined to use them. Where should I go to buy one of these? any particular brand that worth my money?

aside from these old questions, what kind of issues/problems should I anticipate with them?

They're proprietary so be aware you might need to modify the body of the receiver(s) if it's not the same brands. Be aware that even if they are the same brand, it does not necessarily mean the aftermarket QC GB is compatible with the same brand...

Quick change gearbox brands: King Arms, ARES, APS, etc.

Can't comment on the best one but each version gearbox has a different brand that makes them for different guns e.g. p90, m4, g36, etc.

I picked up recently an e&c qc gearbox shell. It actually seems to be ok. I've not built it yet, but it seems to be tm spec version 2 (from test fitting parts) except for the spring guide. I got it from asiaairsoft.com but Toronto Airsoft carries it too if you don't want to wait on shipping

The TA version shows coming with bearing spring guide. Mine is non bearing :-/

Depending on body though, you may/may not have to pull shell to do spring change. I'm going to put mine in a g&g body where the buffer adapter screws into the lower. The qd guide just fits through that hole where the buffer adapter threads into.

the only ones I was able to find were micro switch triggers. I'm still looking for one with standard trigger contacts to put in my g3 sg1

I am inclined for e&c model. I hope it is compatible with vfc bodies.

Just get one of the new VFCs. They have quick spring change gearboxes.

Are the new VFC quick change mechboxes able to drop in to a 2014 model 416?

they still require you to take the gearbox out of the lower to access the spring change. It really only saves 1 or 2 steps.

Anyone here had hands on one of the new e&l ar15's? (Not sure if they are even out?) Their qc gb looks slick with the buffer screwing into the lower..

Installed several already for customers. They're incredibly well made and there' several options for the V2 crowd.

Oh and Ares V2 have a quick change and the buffer tube that's screws into the lower so it's not a new thing.

for the VFC ones, if you have the lower that the stock tube seperates, can you access the spring by taking the stock tube off or not?
