Battle belt sizing

Hey guys I'm looking at going for a battle belt (looking at hsgi as its the largest I have seen) I'm a big dude with 48 inch waist. Do I go for the 46 inch so you have a gap in the middle or do you go for the over sized?? Don't personally know or seen anyone running them in my area so not sure on the sizing requirements. I already have a inner belt thanks to cp gear.

I have a 34"-36" waist and I run the large. That comes around and leaves just enough room for the buckle on me.

Also, I moved this because you posted in the gear for sale thread.

typically you don't want too much on the front of your waist, it will prevent you from bending over, so having a gap is useful, depends on how much you wan to put on the belt as well.

Mostly using it when running my saw so pistol, few pistol mags , radio and maybe water bottle and dump pouch.

then as long as everything is where it needs to be and you can reach it, having a gap in coverage in front doesn't matter. Mine doesn't touch end to end.. at least when I got it, I've lose some weight so the ends are pretty close now, but in terms of gap in molle coverage there's about 8-10 inches where there's no molle.
