best hand gun pistol?

I have been thinking of getting one just to be complete. I have been looking at AEP pistols. I like the idea as I own AEG and do not want to deal with gas in general. But I hate the mags. too thin. I really prefer realistic mags on the GBB pistols.

Aside from that I am curious to know which models are more common. not only for resale but for finding parts if they break down.

What pistol would you suggest to me?

I don't know about common but the TM USPc and the HK45 are said to be really good out of the box. Take good care of them and they should last a long time.

First Step:

Set your budget. $175 is too low, $275 is pushing it for your first pistol. Keep in mind, that on top of this, you will need magazines, a holster, and gas.

Second Step:

What do you want in a pistol? Reliability? A good trigger? The ability to use CO2? Magazine capacity? Holster availability? Parts availability? Make a list of things that are important to you in a pistol, and prioritize them. Remember, a pistol that can do everything isn't going to be great at one particular thing.

Third Step:

Go to a local retailer and look at their inventory of pistols. What works for me, probably won't work for you. Try out the guns, see how they feel, see how you like them. Some things that others see as features, you'll see as a deal killer.

Fourth Step:

Go home and assess each pistol you liked against your criteria. This will also let you calm down and avoid making a purchase in the excitement of the moment. See which deficiencies you can live with, and which ones are deal killers. Research the heck out of your ideal choice to make sure it works for you.

I honestly don't know enough about these guns to have a solid opinion on them. They're a double stack 1911 based off the STI 2011. The most popular airsoft pistol out there from what I can see. I hear enough about them that they make this list.

You're better off getting GBB anyway OP. AEP's are a nice idea but there are really only 1 or two AEP's that are worthwhile. The rest are flimsy, impractical junk.

Get a good solid Marui, WE, or KJW and a few mags. Do your homework and then pick up a simple propane adapter and some silicon oil. Maybe a roll of teflon tape to fix mag-leaks, etc.

TM Sig P226 is amazing and long lasting. I own a PX4 and love it, but there's so many great guns from TM, too many to mention. Companies like PDI and RA-Tech make phenomenal upgrades for them as well, so that's good.

Resale value is nominal on all pistols. It's better to buy new, especially with a GBBP, or like new at a cheap rate. Don't invest in airsoft expecting to get your return. Buy for performance, buy for awesome, buy for happy.

I have been thinking of TM KH45 as my friend has one. He was telling me that finding parts for it was a bit hard, specially mags.

When it comes to maintaining my guns I am willing to go the extra miles. I do not like to shop too often for new stuff or replacement parts. Even though blow backs are awesome, I wonder how long they last before breaking.

Going AEG primary and gas secondary makes sense.

wow, a lot of people swinging with TM these days; i remember when it was all western arms, KSC and KJW in people's holsters. Perhaps one might be known to use a p226 or hk pistol made by TM but nice to see theyve come a long way and now stand at the top. good to know - ty

KSC/KWA are fine, but TM has always been at the top of the pile. KJW stepped up their a game a few years back, but before then they were awful. We've always reccomended TM postols.

On that note; finding parts and mags shouldn't be difficult.
