DSG with ferrite motor... Tech competence instantly in question.

Looks like it's working fine to me.

Good semi auto speed, but only due to the fact it's only pulling the piston half way back.
Sounds really slow in full auto for a DSG, even on a 7.4
Ferrite motor is probably an 18tpa or something for maximum acceleration, but has no top end speed.

That's impressive for what he's got into it. Though it's probably such an inefficient system the way it's set up.

I get requests from clients for "really good trigger response, but slow full auto" all the time. Seems like it has been accomplished here, so if that's what he's going for I don't see what the problem could be?

Agreed. Very good idea this guys got. The only thing I'd hate would be potential electrical inefficiency due to a low TPA ferrite motor. Though I suppose I could be wrong since it's only a half cycle- and I made a bad assumption he would be running a low gear ratio as well

If you want slow rate of fire and fast trigger response, you get high speed gears and build a 28-32 TPA motor. Also, what's the FPS on the DSG running a M130? Sub 300?

I agree, it's outside the meta. But if it works, what's the problem?
My 8T DSG on M130 shoots 310.

Someone can make your car work the same but use twice as much gas with a lot more heat and stress. What's the problem?

OP, can you run it through a wattmeter and report on the current draw? Also, does it heat up in the motor or wiring?
