Double feed KWA LM4
I've got a double feed issue with my KWA LM4. It will occasionally stack two BBs in the hopup chamber and dump the gas and occasionally, the bolt will chop the bottom BB and I'll have to take it apart and clean out the bits.
I've searched the KWA and these forums, as well as the Internet and YouTube but to no avail. I've replaced the stock hopup and inner barrel with a RA-Tech set. I've done the o-ring behind the brass set so it doesn't move. I've polished the feed ramp and ensured only one BB can fit at a time. I've tested where the magazine sits to ensure it's not a magazine release issue. I have minimal wear on the catch and bolt release parts. I filed and polished the loading nozzle. I've cleaned and lubed every part and added AI silicone oil where needed... I don't know what else to try to get this from double feeding; it even does this in semi auto if I hammer on the trigger continuously. I'm using .28 Madbull Precision BB's and Propane. If anyone can shed further light on what else I can try, that will be awesome. I'm going to call KWA on Monday and see what they have to say but I don't really want to purchase parts if I don't have too since the dollar is in the toilet. Thank you for your time and any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers, voorhees. |

I had this issue too. Did the problem occur on stock too? Mine had issues with the ra tech set. But I sold it, was fed up with the gun lol. Was my first gbbr.

Yes, it had the same issue with the OEM inner barrel and hopup unit.
I bought this one, used, a couple years ago. Experienced the issue, put in in the closet and forgot about it until this season. I then realized the OEM hopup chamber (the teeth used to set your hopup), half of them were broken off, like it had been crushed or something and pulled apart. So, I thought that was the issue and replaced it with a RA-Tech set to no avail. |
