Vfc sr16 tan

I plan to buy a new VFC SR16. VFC offer this airsoft in TAN and I wonder how the coating/paint is on the VFC.
I own a ARES SR-25 Tan, and the color on it isn't durable. It chip easily and because the added the TAN paint over the standard coating, everything is hard to put in place....

Rail cover almost need an hammer to slide on, scope mount and iron sights scratch the paint everytime I put them on...

Anyone have any experience with a TAN VFC SR16? How is the coating ?

I have the black SR15E3 IWS version.

I purchased it recently for use as a DMR platform and noticed a few differences between this and my VFC MK18 Mod 1.

The SR15 feels very solid, but for some reason feels lighter than my smaller MK18.

The SR15 paint/anodizing is more matte than the MK18, though that may be because I've had the MK18 for a year now. The MK18 paint/anodizing has held up extremely well so far, and if the SR15 is like it, it'll be fine.

The ambi selector on the SR15 is not "solid." There is a lot of loose slack on the ambi side, and the normal selector does not click into place as nicely as my MK18.

I purchased my SR15 from eHobbyAsia a week ago. It has the V2 hop-up unit, and I'm fairly sure it has a MOSFET though I'm not sure since I haven't opened it up yet. It cycles on an 11.1v as if it has a MOSFET, and it does not overspin like most stock AEGs (without a MOSFET) on an 11.1v.

VFCs have some of the most durable finishes in the business. And they don't come stock with MOSFETs even if they shoot like they do!

Some/most 2015 VFCs ship with factory MOSFETs.

Colt-trademarked receivers use a heavier-weight alloy compared to E/VR-series and Socom Gear OEM guns.

VFC anodizing is durable in that it scratches and does not come off in chunks like G&P receivers do, but they are not milspec hard-anodized by any means. It's thin though, so it doesn't affect the external dimensions.

That I do not know! Guess I'm behind on the times!
