FYI I have two Garands coming in about 2-3 weeks. If you want to put dibs on one or if I should order more if there's more interest, please let me know!

Sorry I remember you have mentioned the US price is $450 and Canadian price should not be too much more, and is around $ 475 or $ 495.

Take a look at the currency movement in the last 6 months and you'll have your answer

I just want to point out that the lower price quoted was just a few days ago, and maybe we should all wait for a more accurate price when the gun arrives. Last edited by Swattiger; April 1st, 2015 at 17:05.. |

I had 2, sold one at $550 FYI. The other one had some weird issues and I'm sending it back so I'm out!
They're pretty nice by the way. 1lb lighter than a real one. Last edited by Styrak; April 30th, 2015 at 18:03.. |

Just got mine in. They're heavy thats for sure!
Just a quick overview: The front sight assembly is fit loose onto the barrel. That means the forward handguard, the gas tube and front sight has a bit of play. Not sure how to disassemble this yet but it seems like an easy fix. The bolt has sticky travel, or simply jams. You have to fight with it a bit until it will slide open, and only half way. The hopup inside is rather nice though. Easily dialed if the bolt were smoother. The stock is kind of a funny shape in the back, the grip bulge (Not sure of a better word) on the buttstock is rounded, instead of the solid edge that the real one has. Almost like a Kar98 more than a garand if that makes any sense. The buttplate is also kinda poorly fitted. There is also a rather spacious gap on the top of the stock going into the buttplate. This is purely cosmetic, but kind of annoying as far as being a replica goes. The magazines will require gluing (Or something). The baseplate is simply fit onto the magazine housing with a small slip on rail. There is nothing retaining this at all. The magazines are also very awkward to load into the gun as they load in almost diagonally and slightly back. If you push it in too far or not far enough, it won't click in. There is a spot you have to kinda feel out before it will lock into place and will make for a very fumbly reload. The sliding baseplate thing makes this harder. Despite all that, I've got a battery ready and i'll be doing a range test and maybe a video tomorrow. Last edited by Strelok; May 3rd, 2015 at 01:33.. |
