Help with identifying a KSG G23 part
Hi guys,
I purchased a used KSC G23, and when I got it, I found that the trigger would not reset when the slide was racked, if the trigger was held down. That is, if I rack the slide with my finger off the trigger, it cocks it just fine. But if I fire the gun, and my finger has not released the trigger by the time the slide is blowing back, it will not reset the trigger. I've popped the slide off, and it looks like there's a part that's broken off in the hammer assembly area. Here is the picture. The camera flash kind of makes all the metal look the same, but in person, you can see the distinctive edge of broken pot metal. Can anyone identify what part this is? Bonus points if you can tell me where to get it and show me how to replace it, but I don't need to be spoonfed everything. If I can just identify the part, I can try track it down online. On a side note, the selector switch on the slide is very loose (why did KSC even make a G23 with a fire selector anyway? gah). Does anyone know if I can simply remove the selector, or if there would be any problems with just taking some glue and sticking it in semi auto? I have no interest in a machine pistol, and I'd rather have a solid slide. Thanks Edit: I should have mentioned that I think it's part 267 according to this diagram. But I'm not sure: http://www.kwausa.com/forums/uploads...1209424853.jpg Last edited by FirestormX; February 13th, 2015 at 11:26.. |
