I said it occasionally makes sense. In your case it does. Plus you obviously know more than the average person about importing.

The OP knows very little as he is asking the question here. If he was verified he could get access to all the information needed to import guns ect. We know nothing about OP, he could be underaged, could be 18+ but wants to buy the cheapest gun possible from the states that may or may not make it past customs.

What I am trying to get at is there are a lot of variables that are unanswered right now.

@OP sorry for derailing your thread. Moral of the story is you should try to get verified. That is most likely your best starting point.

In general I agree that buying Canadian is the way to go but don't say it doesn't make sense at all to buy overseas or from the US all the time.
Wow you were able to get a PTS GBBR in from the states? I just got AV by Kampfer. Just waiting for it to go through on this forums here. He said it takes about a month. Can't wait to find out about all this stuff.

I just did an order to Evike, foolishly. It wasn't even that big of an order, but it cost almost $50 dollars more converting the Canadian Dollar to USD

I have a bunch of junk sitting in various carts from the US/overseas. Waiting for the dollar to suck less.

I was very lucky, I picked up most of the little bits and pieces that I needed to complete my kit before the Canadian dollar went to 73 US cents... and yeah Spike, there are a few carts still stocked awaiting the dollar to bounce back!

People shouldn't fear CBSA so much, maybe then airsoft prices will drop in Canada. Good us merchants will chrono guns sent here and that seems enough for CBSA.
Right now though I'd consider buying in Canada as the exchange rate is plain garbage
