VFC Scar L reliability opinion

Is the VFC SCAR L still a good choice for reiability?
I know there are different generations of these rifles but i don't know how to recognize them.

If you can get past the proprietary plastic hop-up unit and the super long nozzle that can potentially cause air leaks with fully-loaded midcaps, then yeah it's just as reliable as any other VFC V2 AEG.

The different generations most likely denote various legal battles that VFC has had regarding the FN Herstal licensing agreements and their right to use the FN Herstal trademark and potentially the switch from a clear polycarb piston to a translucent blue polycarb piston, but beyond that, they've all been pretty much the same.

Gonna let pestobanana elaborate on this further.

Yes, the clear case hop up is boring me, it works only in the last turns of the knob.

Any aftermarket one to replace?
For the nozzle any solution to avoid air leaking?

I thought the long nozzle was only in the SCAR H, not the L?

pretty sure the L has a standard m4 nozzle... steve might be talking about the H.

The proprietary hop is what hurts this gun (the L I've not delt with an H yet), since it's known to break and have no aftermarket upgrade.. just a replacement from vfc that's just as questionable.

Ok, i think it is better to adjust the up for the bb's used and leave it on that set without turn to zero after game

You are right. My mistake.
