zeroing red dot on a p90?
Quick newbish question for p90 users. Is there any loss of accuracy arising from having the optic so far up from the barrel? I mean on my M4 the optic is maybe 2 inches highers than the barrel of my gun but on a P90 its more like 4. Does this not mean BB's will always be flying low or high compared to what the red dot is set at?

Nothing really noticable.
Depends where and how far you zero your point of impact on the sight. As long as you're shooting center mass you won't really have any issues with missing your target. You'll just have to keep in mind that you'll be shooting a bit low the closer you are. |

Some people also aim the dot sight down ever so slightly, so that it's spot-on at around 100ft, just a little high in the 25-50ft range, and compensates a bit for drop in trajectory at the 150-200ft range, where AEGs start to lose hopup. This can be tricky to get "just right" but if your gun has good accuracy it can help you once in a while when your're trying to hit targets smaller than a torso, like someone's arm/leg sticking out from behind cover.
But like Strelok said, lots of people just ignore it and never really notice. We're not shooting bullets here |

It's like that on every gun, that's why rifle courses teach the difference between point of aim and point of impact.
It's also exaggerated for airsoft guns because of the curve of the BB, depending how you have your hop set, what kind of hop you have, and what weight of ammo you use. Most of us just zero the RDS at the maximum range we're comfortable shooting at. |
