why not just get a gun you like? you are paying big money for it. instead of trying to look different?.. its not like anyone will care to look at your gun on the field when they are shooting at you.
if you want to be unique dont wear camo to the game =P haha

i suggest looking for a gun that you will like using and still great for both field and cqb use would be the wise... also picking a gun that has a good resale value is key to your purchase *if you plan on selling it down the road.

why bother having a unique gun when you are just starting out? technically all the guns are the same internally.. they just look different on the outside. each person here has their own personally preference.. you should find out your own =)

oh and just to stick on topic.. the MP5K isnt used that much on the field either =P.. try that.. its solid.. its compact.. you could find a unique solution to make it field worthy next to an m4..

anyways cheers and good luck shopping.

Try it before you buy it. Theres a gun for everyone you just have to look around and search for the right one. Personally I enjoy the Famas over the Aug. Ive used both and the Famas I used was very nice. Beautiful RDS on it, found it to be very accurate and the look of it is awsome. Bit on the plastic side and less solid then the aug for sure.

FAMAS is based on the V1 mechbox. Although many of the internals used by the V1 mechbox are identical to the V2/V3 internals, my personal experience with the V1 mechbox is that power upgrade delivers less satisfactory results.

For snippers, AUG is a better choice I guess.

for how you play, famas all the way. the steyr is acurate but heavy, and the famas is lighter and has a higher rate of fire.

Is it possible to patch metal parts onto the FAMAS? I've been wondering, I know mine feels kinda plasticky and i was wondering if someone else has tried this. Just remove the FAMAS pannels and replace them with painted metal ones? Whaddaya say?

and if you have any problems. the only problem with the gun I know of is that sometimes it shoots 2 bb's at a time. that can be fixed with a deepfire metal aug feed. can be bought from airsoftatlanta.com under upgrades and for 9 dollars. so yeah. I have an amazing aug that never fails. and with upgraded internals that I did. so good luck

if you are asking if it is possible to fabricate metal parts to replace the ABS Plastic parts. Then the answer is yes. if you have the tools, skill, and money to do it, it is possible.

I have not heard of anyone doing it because i think no one has ever had that big of a problem of the ABS body breaking? unless they fell on their gun extremely hard.
