Why do you need visible light if you're using night vision? O_o

LDI OTAL is a good example of doing all of these things, but it's cost is still too high for many people. |

Fair enough. An aluminum tube configuration which can run on 18650 rechargeables would be a good starting point. Then keep the pressure switch integrated into the tailcap.

I would look at several versions of the above. 1. As stated by TC 2. Add a white light to first 3. Add LED based IR illuminator to first. |

Something small like this would be awesome.

Simpler is cheaper, +1 on the OTAL, but for sure it needs pressure on/off instead of the toggle on/off

If we are going to get into the realm of WHAT IFS and WISH LISTS here
Muh Dream IR Laser Only Unit: -Offer two mounting options: Quick Detach and a typical thumbscrew / flathead screw mount. Sell these as separate units, stand alone, or include both I don't care. Options are important. -On board activation button on the laser itself -Ability to accept remote pressure switch -Activation identical to PEQ - Push/Hold for momentary, double tap for constant on -If too difficult to implement above your selector switch needs to have three settings; OFF(laser does not turn on when pushed), Momentary(hold), Tap for constant on -AA battery for the love of god please. CR123's are great but AA batteries. -Dials for Windage and Elevation need to have clicks(re; feedback) when turned. -Dials for Windage and Elevation should, ideally, be adjustable with your bare fingers but if size calls for it a screw driver adjustment is okay -Laser must set offset to the bore by an inch or so - this is to bypass triangle posts or any flipped up BUIS systems -Make it look sexy -Do not skimp out on size. A nice sized laser is important, but a tiny laser can feel chinsy. If you make something a tad bigger that feels solid and is indestructible, you will have a much better product. My personal wish list. I'd write more and in a more thought out format but I'm typing this from my teeny tiny laptop and I hate writing anything on this thing. |
