GBBR are fun, but will only work during the summer or indoor where it's 15c and up.
What??
I Only run GBBR's. I have no issues with them in the rain. None whatsoever.
Mapp in Propane mags if it gets cold or alternatively switch to Co2.
I am not into CQB. Purely Rural really.

Rain I agree.
Do you play in winther or bellow 15c?
Can you sustain full auto on a single fill of gas and empty a 30 rounds mag?
Does your fps and rate of fire stay consistant?

MAPP is a lot more stable on full auto.

But GBBRs arent really a good platform for spray and pray, so if emptying 30 round mags on full auto is the type of gaming you do AEGs are gonna be a lot better suited to your needs.

Personally I've ran a full game (8 hours, all outdoors, no breaks) with a WE GBBR in -25C weather. Although getting through a single mag with one fill of gas simply wasn't happening I still made it work for the 15-25 rounds I got out of each mag.

There is a difference between "Doesn't work" and "Works but functions are limited"

To clarify, what gas were you running? MAPP?

Just propane. Semi-auto only (Should have clarified that, sorry)

I found that I could get close to if not a full mag out of a single fill if I kept them in my pant pockets before I used them opposed to the pouches on my plate carrier. Next time I'll tape hand warmers to the mags :P

I like the idea of a realistic GBBR and using almost strictly semi (I don't like spray and pray, people can get hurt that way) and I also like the idea of adjustable FPS. Also I highly doubt you get get me out of my warm bed to play for 8 hours in -25C.

I do this for fun so I think sticking to the fun theme I should go AEG.

I owened a KJW M4 and own for 2 years a G39 WE as my main gun. Below to 5 celsius they don't stand a chance against AEG. I shoot only semi. After 8-10 shot I have big fps drop and gaz leak in the chamber.
I can maybe get a mag if I keep the mag next to my balls for warming up. that ' why I have AEG as back up for spring and fall.
Otherwise it's a great platform for milsim lovers... but not for performance and trouble who come with.
