Ultimate User's Goggles Guide
I haven't found a comprehensive list of goggles performance and quality (feel free to point us in the right direction if there is one).
We all wear goggles, so let's share our experiences to help each other. There is no "Best goggle", because to different people, different categories are important. To have a unifying template, lets use the following categories: MASK NAME More Reviews: Type: Full face / Goggle with strap / Eyewear (glasses) Fan integration: Available / not available Fog Protection: 0/10 (everyone's quantity will be different, but let's put a number to it) & do you use anti-fog, fan, how much do you sweat (0/5) - I'm a full on 5 :P? Field of Vision: If you can provide the degree value, that will be best. Otherwise feel free to post a qualitative impression (ie, It blocks some view on the sides and bottom). Comfort: 0/10 value and weight. Feel free to add a qualitative response - what are the annoying things about it or is it perfect and you can sleep and bathe with them? Cost: $$$ Protection: industry level and coverage Voice: how well can you hear and speak out of it EXAMPLE: Proto Axis Paintball Goggles More Reviews: http://www.pbnation.com/reviews/prod...ball_axis_pro/ Type: Full face Fan integration: Available Fog Protection: 9/10. I sweat a lot (5/5) and use both anti-fog and a fan. If the lens is new, you take care of it, and don't scratch it up inside, then it's pretty much perfect. However because it's a full face mask - on a humid day after you heat up and put in a lot of sweat, it will start to fog like any goggle. The lens is a double, thermal, replaceable lens. Available in different tints. Field of Vision: 7/10. There's no tunnel vision, but it is restrictive a little bit on the sides, top and bottom. I'll see if I can find the degrees for it. Comfort: 8/10. Very nice fit, light for a full mask Cost: $90 Protection: Paintball certified. Full face protection and ears, little forehead protection/ Voice: Hard to speak out of, but decent hearing. Last edited by RussianHunter; March 27th, 2014 at 12:19.. |

JT Flex 8 Full Coverage - Thermal
More Reviews:http://www.ansgear.com/Jt_Flex_8_Ful...8fullolive.htm Type: Full Head coverage Fan integration: Available Fog Protection: 7/10 on 3.5/5. Your results may vary. Field of Vision: 170*x90* Comfort: 9.5/10 Weight: 4/5. Tends to conform to head. I've fallen asleep in these a few times already on the field. Glasses: will fit under visor. Cheeking: not the easiest to cheek- will level up to .75" depending on the size of your face. (I just raised my sights on my rifle to a comfortable level, helps when I'm also using a Type 97b) Cost: $75-$80 Protection:Premium Paintball grade: covers full face, top of head, ears, back of head, base of skull. Voice: Unmuffled, I just tend to have to speak up because of my soft voice.

MASK NAME: JT Elite Airsoft Delta 2
More Reviews: JT Airsoft Delta 2 mask YouTube vid by ANSgear.com Type: Full face (not much for forehead though). Fan integration: Not without modification Fog Protection: 3/10 - stock lens (single pane); 10/10 - fan modification with thermal len [I sweat a lot] Field of Vision: 190 degrees, not the best to look down/up though. Comfort: 8/10 - good foam and fit, snug but nothing I'm not used too. Weight: not sure directly but it's a pretty slim mask overall, doesn't annoy me. If you are used to tactical goggles though these things will be big. Cost: $40 Canadian Tire Value: 5/10 - great protection but it is a single pane and the mouth mask gathers a lot of condensation, have since switched to a mesh lower mask. Protection: ASTM certified (as per the info sheet in my replacement thermal lens). Voice: was fine stock, even better through mesh lower |

Great info, but I think a very important comment to add when talking about Full Face Masks is: Can you comfortably look down the Sights/Scope?
My Dye mask for example makes aiming down the scope of my M4 impossible, and is not easy on my P90 RDS.

I'm also adding in the suggestion box "Will prescription glasses fit under them?"
