The heatshrink gets goo-ey. Share your thoughts, is this normal?

That doesn't sound right.
What RoF are you getting, are you sure the shimming is right? Do you have a multimeter?
I've seen a few lemons and I ALWAYS get RoF drops when I use them, but I did run one to 39 RPS at 340 FPS without it getting warm.

I don't know a lot about electronics, maybe Stealth can chime in.

way too hot... you have some excessive current draw going on... I'd check the shimming. The pico fets shouldn't get that hot... on top of that, it shouldn't get hot enough to damage the heatshrink.

27 rps @ around 290fps. GBBR shimmed it. I've yet to pick up a multimeter
40rps and 340fps is what I'd like!

The PicoSSRs aren't made for microswitches and will burn out.

In fact, most Mosfets on the market aren't for microswitches.

There Must be something compatible with Microswitches.

extreme fire has a microswitch denouncer iirc but they're so bad why bother.

You could try buying a much higher quality microswitch, I bet they're less than $8 lol

Try and find a quality switch, it sounds so simple :P

Have you tried an OMRON V7-1S17D8-022 ?
