Hi Brian.
I'm not sure if I am waking a dead thread, but in case you still have an interest in gaming Nam, you might want to consider an ANZAC impression. Aussie Digger Militaria carries the uniforms (repro and issue). The regular grunts of the RAR and RNZR (the Anzacs adopted the US term) first wore a uniform similar to the late ww2 British jungle uniforms, and then went over to the "Pixie" uniform (the trousers were fairly tight). They used a mixture of p37, p44 and US 56 webbing, with the p37 either in original khaki or dyed green. A jungle hat similar to the old CF bush cap was worn in the field. Sterlings, L1A1 SLRs, M16s and M60s for small arms. The Australians adopted black high boots very similar to the older CF ones (they based them on Canadian issue boots). US jungle boots or British ammo boots with black gaiters (also available at ADM) can also be used for footwear. If you prefer something more exotic, you can get set as Australian SAS. Like their US special forces counterparts, they wore a mix of everything, especially Tiger Stripe and ERDL. Many retained their FNs, albeit often without the flash suppressor.
