Harness style rig options

So I absolutely loved my EI H harness except for one thing... the three adjustment straps on either side of it would bend in and dig into my sides whenever I crouched.

I'm looking into other harness style second line rigs that are out there. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've tried a battle belt before but it's not quite secure enough for my liking. I'd also like it to have at least a partial back panel so I can mount a molle hydration pack.

Is it new? May need to be worn in.

You can always use some padding on those areas until it get worked in.

Ever used an LBT 1961 pattern rig? As with all LBT, the design is smart and the quality is top-notch. I'd recommend the G variant for convenience (has a split zippered front for easier donning and doffing). Not modular though.

Needs to be modular. I've tried one before, I don't like the side pouches that's on them.

I've had it for years, and I got it used. It's as broken in as it could possibly get

I was going to mention the ESS trim boar but someone beat me too it. Great kit.
Tactical Tailor MAVs are also great.
5.11s Tac Tec rig is cheap but not ideal off the shelf requires modification.

Russian SMERSH harness maybe? Its a very comfortable rig even when heavily burdened. Works great with m4 mags if they have magpuls on em, otherwise the pouches are a bit deep.

I've looked into that. Basically if someone made a full molle version of that rig, I'd be all over it
