WE Scar L GBB - What Generation?
Hey guys.. Merry Christmas fellow airsofters!!
Well if your like me your all gearing up to pick up some great deals this week. I have my eyes on the WE SCAR L GBB however i wanted to try and figure out what generation the gun in question is. here is the model number: WE-R-S001-BK i have heard that the early generation SCAR's had issues but the new versions dont. do any of you guys know what Generation the above model is? I can't seem to find this information online The add says it's the "ALL NEW OPEN BOLT VERSION" so im going to assume this is the latest and greatest from WE. You guys have any opinions of this gun? There is only one open-bolt "gen", ans yes, it's the latest.
It does not have the hinge place issue anymore, the plastic part was modified a bit. The internals are completely different from closed-bolt, and work like a pistol. All in, yes, a great gun. I have been running mine for over 2 years now. |

I now have almost 20 guns ranging from CYMA's to KWA's & G&G... i can say one thing pretty confidently when it comes to airsoft..none of this crap is built to last
The issues with the WE SCAR have all been decently documented with plenty of 'how to fix' videos online. The main issue appears to be the roller falling off on the trigger hammer.. but apparently some JB Weld will keep it in place.. problem solved. My only issue with this gun is the fact that i can only purchase 30 round gas mags at $50 a pop.. that's not cool!! |

Didn't have the hammer roller fall out. I guess I simply do my damn maintenance and check for lose parts BEFORE fielding the thing. |
