test/function check question for M4 GBBR
picked up a M4 and just wanted to check if everything is working perfectly as it's second hand.
these are the steps that I've done: -with the gun in semi, charge the gun -squeeze and HOLD the trigger. hammer falls. -with the gun in semi, charge the gun again while still squeezing trigger. hammer does not fall -attempt to move selector to the safe position while still squeezing trigger. the selector does not move to the safe position. hammer does not fall -attempt to move selector to the full-auto position while still squeezing trigger. the selector moves to the full-auto position and the hammer falls can anyone tell me if there is something wrong internally with the trigger mechanism that allows the selector to move to full-auto and make the hammer fall like that?

Functions test C8/M4-C7/M16
First Remove mag Cycle bolt 2X Place selector on safe, squeeze trigger a few time to make sure it holds. Then place selector on semi, squeeze trigger and hold once the action fires. Cycle action with trigger held, action should not fire, release trigger, you should hear the action small clunk noise as it is held by the semi auto catch. Move selector to auto, fire the action, hammer should fall, hold the trigger and cycle the action again, the hammer should fall as action goes forward. It doesn't sound like your trigger assembly has any issues. Don't move the selector to safe while squeezing the trigger, you could damage the selector. Hope this helps
