Rail System WE HK416
Hey guys,
So I just purchased a WE Hk416 and I'm not a huge fan of the stock rail. Just wondering if I could buy an aeg rail such as a Daniel defense and put it on my gbbr? I've looked around a bit and some people have said that because of the gas block I will have to shave some of the rail. I'm hoping to get a rail I could put on with no diy. Buying rs is not an option either. I thank you for your insight and knowledge. Gabe |

You are stuck with the stock rail, if you wanted a GBBR you can customize you should have gone with the M4.

You can remove the FAKE gaz block and replace it (if you want, it's just for looks) with an M4/low profile one.
The issue is that the top rail won't line-up. Your receiver will be about 1/4" higher than any rail kit made for M4s. If you want, you could order a new M4 upper and customize it as you want. It only takes 2 pins and swapping the bolt (or you can buy a spare of that too). |

If ya do decide to buy an m4 upper ill take the 416 one off yer hands so i can build an indoor upper. Good luck!
Not sure why ya dont like ot tho. 416 is dead sexy

Well I just don't like how their is a wobble on the rail. I looked at the manual schematics listing all the parts and it looks as if their is no bolt to screw the rail where it should be to prevent the wobble. I will take a picture. Also it would be kind of nice to change things up a bit. No doubt the hk416 is sexy, don't get me wrong about that! If its that much trouble I may as well not bother than...

Do you have an armorer's wrench? Or Anaconda (rubber strap with a handle)? Remove the o-ring between the outerbarrel and nut and use metal shims to set it instead if that is what causes you an issue. The screw at the bottom prevents any movement when setup properly. |
