DIY CadPat Escape and Evade pack
My latest build. I use 500D cordura Cadpat fabric, padded back panel and Mil-spec hardwares.

I like it, but i think you need better shoulder straps. Like thick ones especially when someone is carrying that for long periods of time. If the top part has more velcro space instead of the small square, you might attract more patch whores like moi. You might also want a more low profile or sturdier drag handle. Whats the going price for these and do they come in tan?

Nice work man, add a padded hydration pouch and that would be a great day pack!
For E&E purposes I would add itw nexus QR buckles (or just regular side release ones) on the straps just so the pack can be instantly taken off in emergencies. Since you'd be doing alot of walking and/or hiking, the shoulder straps should be padded and comfortable, a sternum strap would be a big plus. The last thing you'd want is sore shoulders or a chaffed neck slowing down progress to extraction/safety. Other than that you've got a really great technique and the stitching looks like it could take some abuse, molle's nicely done too. I like the design keep it up! |

thanks guys for the positive replies. I will consider all your suggestions. I have no intention of selling this in the market because I have a full time job, sewing is just my hobby but if I do sell this, it won't be cheap. mil-spec materials are so expensive specially cordura fabrics. this would range to $90-$100.
