Echo1 ASC-H and KWA SR10 issues

Alright so I have two problems I'd like to address:
1. I recently purchased a Echo1 Scar-H and everything is perfect with the gun except with one thing. After about 50-60ft BB's just zip straight up, at first i thought the hop up was engaged too much but i backed it off completely and it still has this issue. Ive used .2's and .25's but no dice. Im not sure how to fix this problem at this point.

2. My friend gave me his KWA SR10 for repair due to a loud grinding sound when pulling the trigger, so i pulled the gun apart and found the spur gear is missing 2 teeth. Now our only problem is hes unsure which gear ratio he needs to go with/ what gears would be best.

Thanks!

1. You would have to take out the inner barrel and hopup and inspect it.
2. Standard ratio gears would be fine.

Alright i took out the inner barrel and honestly everything looks fine to my knowledge, the arm does go up and down no problem. The only thing ive noticed is when i look into the barrel the bump created by the hop up arm is there...if full backed off the bucking should be flush with the barrel correct?

Pretty much flush yes, unless if been in the full on position for a long time and is a little shaped.

Well there seems to be small bump but it appears its cause from the actual hopup. would changing the nub do the trick?
