Field ideas

Would anyone have and good ideas of where to set up an area in campbell river just to play casual games of airsoft? me and a few friends have been trying to figure out a good spot, because i dont think i can just go out into the bush and play without getting in trouble.

i dont know if it would be good to try and contact cataylst or timberwest mill and see if i can get permission to set up an area somewhere in there forests

Always ask permission before setting up a field. You could open up a nasty can of worms by not doing so.

Your own property or a neighbor or family members.
Ask folks you know who have the space out of public view and see if someone is willing to let you use their space. Let them know what you plan to do. If you plan on building structures or changing the land scape. Get waivers find out insureance costs. Ask them if they want you to use bio bbs.
Find out how much intrest there is so you can figure out if there is enough cssh flow to cover insureance costs and maintenance of the field andbprovide the land owner with some income.

There are alrdy many established fields in BC so getting intrest may be hard but you can look into it. Or just play at one of the local fields and save the extra work.

Also be aware that most municipalities have bylaws prohibiting the discharge of 'air guns' within their limits, often with $2000 fines.

in campbell river we cannot use airsoft guns that a use a gas propellent because it falls under campbell rivers firearm act, but spring and electric airsoft guns are not considered firearms and can be used as long as they have the orange tip and clear reciever, i checked with city hall yesterday

I miss back when in the old days when everyone had a huge chunk of their own property for these.
