G&P low FPS

Hey guys

I need some help! I have a G&P woc M4A1 gbbr and its shoot slow as hell. I would like it to shoot around 350-375 with .25's. Problem is with .20's its shooting 310 using propane. Can someone help me with either problem shooting this gun because it is said to be able to shoot 390 using .20's and using HFC 134a gas. Or just let me know what upgrades I need.

1. You should have posted this in the gun doc section
2. What temp are you shooting in?
3. What are you using you measure your FPS?

Upgrade to a we..
Is everything well lubed. Does the bolt slide freely with little resistance.
How is the rubber in the piston.
Does the nozzle seat properly in the hop up unit?

Yea that's my bad.

I was shooting at 25 degrees C's. I used that chrono at flagraiders.
I have always cleaned my gun and keep it lubed, everything is moving properly. Im not sure how to check my the seals.

You should be able to see if the nozzle is fully going into the hop up unit when the bolt is out if you look into where the gas goes in from the mag to the blowback chamber there is a piston in there with a rubber head or seal that could be worn or torn.
The nozzle could be chipped or cracked also the bbu could be cracked.
Edit what fps did it have befor cause the stock rating is
280 FPS (HFC134a Test @ 25°C Room Temperature)
Recommend / 390 FPS (Top Gas Test @ 25°C Room Temperature
There is a high power bolt as far as i know and also there are high flow valves and ratech makes a cpl bolts and an npas so you can adjust the fps.
Why do you want it so high anyhow you cant use above 350 indoors and 400 oitdoors anyhow. And that measured with 0.20bbs

Are you letting the mag warm up befor testing cause it should be around 390 stock with the hop up off or almost off.
And the 375 on 0.25 your looking for would put you at 420 on 0.20 so youd be too hot to play even outdoors. At FR indoor its 350 afaik

Well with the npas you likely wont be able to raise the fps beyond what it shoots at maximum anyhow (maybe by a little but not much) so if you wajt upgrades buy ratech steel bolt npas inner barrel and hop rubber. Then putbhigh flow valves in the mags and steel parts in the trigger assembly not much you can do beyond that and raising the fps from 300-400 ismt gonna maie much of a difference in performance a good barrel and hop up will kake the most improvement.

FYI you have to chrono with .25s if you'll be using .25s
GBBRs build up higher pressure when using heavier ammo, so the fps to weight comparison isn't a linear scale like it is on AEGs
So if you're shooting 1.34J with .2s, you may very well be shooting 1.55J with .28s

Unlike an AEG, an easy way to raise your muzzle energy with a GBBR, is to use heavier ammo

Also, the #1 cause of low FPS in GBBRs is actually poor lubrication. Any new pistol or GBBR, I'll gain 20-60fps just by cleaning and regreasing it with high end synthetic grease

I have chrono'd it will .25's and I get around 290. Currently when I grease/clean my rifle I use teflon and silicon grease and I make sure that my bolt carrier is adequately lubed, that the surface between the bolt and bolt carrier is well lubed, I have neglected slightly by not really going into it with cleaning but instead just lubing it slightly. Would a tight bore get me up to atleast 310?

There is a lot of disinformation posted in your thread, I doubt those members know much about the WA .

Just a few things I want to know are,
is this +\- pressure bolt?
What mags are you using? Exact make and model
How long are you charging you gas into the mag? In seconds

Secondly I want to know more about your problem, by slow do you mean FPS or ROF?

Rof in gbbrs are never that fast, your looking at around 9-14second.
Fps is always altered due to the temperature, the warmer it is, the more fps you get, the colder it is the less fps you get.

Where did you get the rifle because, the hk versions are significantly lower fps.

Was it a challenge kit?
Was it a wocx
Is it really a woc.

Answer these questions and I'll gladly help
