Kydex Holsters for KJW P226 with TLR-1 HL?
As the tile reads, I'm looking for a Kydex/Serpa holster that will fit a KJW P226 with a TLR-1 HL light unit on it.
I was looking at this: http://www.sigsauer.com/SigStore/sig...light-486.aspx But the image of the holster is of a left handed holster, and I'm not sure if a KJW will fit in a Real steel holster. Not to mention the TLR-1 HL is very slightly larger then the original TLR-1. Does anyone know any holsters that will work, or anyone in Toronto that makes custom Holsters? I don't want to ship my guns around the country, I'd rather meet someone at a shop or something.

Talk to Mike at Canadian Custom Kydex, he does great job at reasonable price. Not sure if London is to far for you?

"Very slightly larger"? VERY SLIGHTLY?!
Sorry, sometimes the grammar nazi in me takes the reins. :-) |

From my experience, a holster designed for a RS Sig Sauer P226 does not seem to accommodate the wider slide of the KJW P226.
Experience: Owner of a KWA M226 PTP; supposedly close (enough) to RS specs. Also own a G-Code Sig Sauer P226 holster molded for a RS P226, and the KWA fits. Tried fitting a KJW P226 into that same holster; no go. This may be because this particular holster only has 1 adjustment point for retention which is at the trigger guard. You may be able to fit a KJW P226 into a Kydex holster which has multiple adjustment points particularly along the area where the slide sits. In essence; Random person with 2 posts on the ASC says a KJW P226 will not fit properly into a holster designed for a RS P226 because the KJW slide is wider than RS spec. Take what you wish from that statement. Research a lot and hopefully you'll find something that works for you. |

I also own a KWA M226 PTP w/ a Surefire x300 and it fits perfectly into my RS Safariland 6004. It will fit without the light as well but you'll need to stick a piece of cardboard into the holster to properly retain the pistol.
