Can i own a gun at 16?
Hello, I just have a quick question regarding owning an airsoft gun. I was wondering if i can legally own an airsoft gun at 16 if someone over 18 buys it for me?
Thanks. |

Are you seriously asking this question... because i feel happy today, i'll try not to flame.
No you can't have an airsoft gun at 16 and even if you get one, you would'nt be able to use it on games because you need to be 18 or older normally. Check the FAQ for your answer and try to not post things like this, it's can be ugly very quick... edit: I think it's not the first stupid post you make this week. Didn't you ask if you could play in a open field recently?

please wait the allotted time of 2 years, and then get in contact of an age verifier. Patience is a virtue

All the fields around me allow me to be 16 with parental permission. Also from what i saw in the FAQs your required to be 18 to purchase the guns not to own them.
Edit: I did ask that indeed. Not that i want your opinion on any of it after you displayed your lack of knowledge on the subject |

I'd advise you to invest in one of these first.

yes you can technically own one, but beware, the moment that you take it out into public, you have to treat it as a real firearm, lock it and hide it in a gun bag

go buy a deactivated ar15 then, if you just want to "own" an ar15 you don't even need a RPAL to buy it

I would say wait the 2 years too, airsoft is pretty expensive. Even if you can play in some field, they may not always accept you, minors are not always accepted.
