You can also buy Thermal Protection, so you can cry less at night:

Whats the infrared reflection signature like on that thing? Looks like it'll glow when observed through Night Vision.

I had my heart set on a FLIR TS-24, great resolution, spotting out to ridiculous distance, but at only 8Hz, and no ability to use IR laser or aiming devices, it's kind of money wasted :/
Although I could wrap handwarmers around my mags and have thermal tracers, but that wouldn't work at only 8Hz IMO if you got your hands on a FLIR M-24, you might like it more, half the price of the AN/PAS-23, only 30Hz refresh rate, but much better resolution, and about half the size too lol Last edited by ThunderCactus; February 19th, 2013 at 20:18.. |

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

cant see through fancy ghillie suit either
http://www.ghillie.com/thermal.htm so now do i buy a ghillie to counter the handfull of thermal users or do i buy a thermal optic to see folks in the dark or do i just stick with geting a gen1 + night vision rifle scope as was my original plan. by the way that video made me pee my pants laughing lol

But you can see someone's hand print on a wall. Or, depending on the thickness and material of a wall, and the sensitivity of the thermal, you might be able to see someone leaning against it from the inside lol

well, on some of those pictures you can see the wall studs behind the wall through the drywall. so in a way, yea you could see someone behind a wall if they are leaning on it.

CR0M - That is a fire camera used by fire departments to track active fires. Works fine but not something you can use on a weapon LOL
For forward observation however not too bad. Biggest limitation is range. Fire FLIR is used extensively under 15 M. Not a bad price for that rig tho...it has some wear and tear...

Why would FLIR Vision come in Multicam?
