It depends on your particular character as to whether you are a "team Player" or not. some people really like the organization and group work in a team environment. other people think all that stuff just kills the fun. It depends on what you like.
Most teams spring up organically from a group for guys that play together often. Eventually they become recognized as a team.

I never used a ghillie, just cover, and stayed in people's blind spots. Thought I was always more of a hunter than a sniper.
Most people who want to be a sniper don't understand that the sniper's primary role is actually recon and observation. Which sucks. lol
Also 90% of the snipers I've seen in action were totally useless to their team. They'd just go off and do whatever and not contribute anything to what the team was doing.

Problem with teams in Mb/good players is they never stick around for more than 2 years lol
Every year there's a new hot team, and the old one fizzles away. The most successful/longest running teams so far have been wolfpack WBAT and the bootnecks.
And that comes from a combo of longevity, consistent player base, attendance of local and national games and organization

And you see evidence of that at claybank. A huge national game, literally right next door only 7 hours away, and less than a handful of manitobans showed up. We may have actually had more players from ontario and BC show up to claybank than Mb.

Tell me about it, my first day skirmish with swatt I got rocked hard. Not only was there the skill level disadvantage but also the fact that their other name is Team PTW....

I like playing with those guys though, and I think my skill level has really improved since the first day I played.

Also +1 to not having to use a ghillie and all that, it's more about skill in hiding in plain sight and deception than most people think it is. Being a sniper is a boring job and if people don't listen to radio commands/callouts then it's useless.

I guess it really depends on your environment, and your goals. I've used a ghillie a few times with my M16, and I'll tell you that you can disappear easily. I'm thinking of adapting mine to fit over my load out, but just in places.
