Cybergun V1 in a TM FAMAS!
Does anyone know or have heard through others whether a Cybergun V1 gearbox will fit in a TM FAMAS?

From owning a CYMA FAMAS, I can say that the CG FAMAS' gearbox has been modified internally. From this, it would also be safe to assume that the gearbox shape or dimensions would be somewhat modified. Whether it can fit, though, is different from whether it can be dropped in.
I would be cynical if someone informed me that the V1N could be made to fit in the TM V1O location. However, if you're determined, you could possibly file or, using some other method, make it fit. However, this must be perfect, or a lot of compression could be lost, as the Tappet in the V1N is connected directly to the receiver/barrel assemble, but it is not in the V1O. Again, it depends on what you're trying to achieve and how much effort you want to put into this.

Hey there,
I know that there are a few differences between the two gearboxes, especially the shape of the cylinder compartiment, maybe you can find some answers here: The big difference is here, at the rear of the gearbox, the TM is a way slimmer: All of this photos comes from this review in french: http://www.france-airsoft.fr/forum/i...owtopic=122596 Hop it helps! Cheers.
