I was doing some reading, and it said there are pre-approved countries they can recruit from. Not recruit directly off that countries military, just from that country in general. Skeletor speaks the truth, a green card is a pre requisite as stated clearly on their website. I've seen this requirement posted numerous times. My friend maintains he applied to the USMC while being a member of the CF, and they assisted in the transition. He wasn't particularly skilled in one area, or had served with the Canadian forces long when he joined the marines. He was discharged over ten years ago; perhaps there was an initiative at the time. He is native, but also maintains he never had dual citizenship. His parents, and three brothers were all born here and are all Canadian citizens exclusively......as far as he knows.

Needless to say, you don't just join the Marines on a whim. Especially if your not a US national.

That's why I mentioned it. I'm assuming his native status played a role, as you had mentioned before. I do know two things though; first, he was definitely a US Marine, and second, whatever he tells me is likely the truth. Or at least I'd hope so. The USMC recruitment information, or recruitment pages pretty much state word for word what you said. He was also not the only one at that time. I remember he had a friend who joined with him under the same or similar circumstances.

I read the list of countries yesterday morning. This was while I was cross checking with what you said. It was an article about joining the Marines if you weren't a US citizen. There was a list of about a dozen countries that you needed to hail from in order to even be eligible. Canada, England, France, Peru, were among them. I'm trying to find the article now. I remember wondering why certain other countries were not on there, as they stand as US allies. Countries like Russia, China, Mexico, Germany, Israel, etc were not mentioned (not that all of those listed are allies of course).

There was something years ago called the GI Entry Bill. But as far as I know, you still had to be a resident.

Otherwise, I think you're overthinking the actions of a 14 year old kid with unsupervised access to the Internet.

It's not as there is much we can do about it. We had gotten way off topic anyways in the discussion. A lot of what I was talking about happened along time ago to other people. It was apparent that some of my info wasn't entirely correct, or up to date.

I have a bad habit of not getting involved in a thread until it gets off topic.

going back on topic, I think one of us who knows the area should email him and tell him you will do the training and the first lesson in stalking is to find you. Then tell him to go to a certain field in the middle of nowhere at a certain time. And just say you will be wearing a ghillie (of course you won't be because you will be at home with a beer watching the game). If anything, it will train his patience if he actually sits it out.

Setting up meets with a juvenile it not very smart. Even if you never intend to be there in person it's a great way to have this spiral out of control.

Let's say he's hiding in the field and gets run down by a tractor. Who baited him there?

I smell overdose of COD. I wonder if he knows that the wind and such affects the trajectory of the bullet?

A little Sniper Elite V2 and he'll have it all down, no math needed
