Getting to Picton
Hey not asking to be spoon feed here but I cant seem to make any progress, does anyone know if any buses/Trains that go out to Picton from Hamilton/Burlington?
I'm trying to plan out the logistics for me and 5 other guys and I own a jetta so that's out of the question for 6 guys + gear, so I was looking at a bus or just rent a van. if no buses go to picton, what company would you guys recommend to rent a minivan from in the Hamilton area? Thanks in advance..

No busses that i know of, but even driving from hamilton felt really long so i dont think you would want to bus or train it if you could.
A few times me and some friends rented minivans to montreal from budget. Seemed to be the best. The nice thing about rental places in hamilton is they are all on king st from walnut to wellington (5 of them, all within half a km from each other.

I was once stranded in Picton for 2 days. Believe me, no buses go there lol. Also, every mechanic closes at 5 on Saturdays and doesn't open on Sundays. Definitely something to keep in mind if you rent or borrow a van from someone.
If you do get stranded, I recommend the Sportsman Motel. Comes with complimentary "Don't gut your fish in your sink" signs. |

lol... picton's a great cottage country town. Not a whole lot in the way of amenities though.
Definitely rent a van. |
