AGM Sten: Not Firing (Trigger Problem?)
Recently acquired an AGM Sten and gamed it a few times (loved it). During a game recently, the gun stopped firing.
I took it apart down to it's gearbox to investigate the problem. When I attached the battery and pulled the trigger, the trigger mechanism (Which is proprietary) gives off a spark when the trigger is pulled. Anyone know of any solutions to fix this? Would highly appreciate any help from anyone. Cheers -Mr P |

Try cleaning the two copper contact plates on the other end of the trigger.
Afterwards put a screwdriver between the two copper contacts, the mechbox should cycle. |

Are the copper contacts bent by any chance? The Current flows from one contact through the trigger to the other copper contact to complete the circuit to run the mechbox. If by any chance the Copper contacts are crossed, or touching each other the mechbox will cycle.

Yep, that seems to have been the problem, gun cycles now when trigger is pulled, I'll throw some rounds down range now to see if the problem is gone.
