If you drop or kick your propane tank with a metal adaptor then no problem but if you aren't careful with the plastic ones they'll break.
I've never had a problem with my 3x TM Hicapa mags over the course of three years.

What do you know, I have a Socom Gear Oasis pistol in the locker. The mags aren't quiet fill and I have an AI adapter for this that works no sweat.

So since the mag worked before it's likely an issue with technique or a dud adapter. Find a buddy with one and try his.

Heheheh I still have one of the earlier AI metal propane adapters. Been running with the same Capa mags since 2007 or so and never had to replace a seal. If the quality of equipment is good, the rest is in the technique of the user.

I can get 2 cans of King Arms green gas today to keep me going until
my dealer open again. I would take the Socom Oasis mag with me to ensure it works. Do you recommend? price is 2 for $22.13
thanks again everyone!

No, don't buy green gas. It's overpriced propane.

Buy propane.

BINGO!

My bet is on this.

You have to hold the mag upside-down in your hand, and put the propane tank on top, with the adapter pointing down in the fill valve.

Then, press both as hard as you can.

If you stick your ear to the propane tank, you will hear it fill if it's a silent valve.

If it's a regular valve, you will ear a little hisss and you will see a cloud of gas when it's full.

Also, there has been a batch of defective propane tanks what where not working with the adapters.

Go outside, put the propane tank upside on a table and push the adapter down with a pair of plier. It should shoot a white cloud out. If not, you have an empty tank of the adapter is not working. You should be able to push about 1/4" down.

Have performed correct procedure several times and tested tank as you described and spewed gas. There is simply -no noise-no fill.I depressed valve on mag also and
nothing. I will visit dealer Wednesday to determine if my attempt was correct or defective adaptor( as the tank test is ok)

I dropped a couple of drops of oil into the valve and screwed on the plastic
adaptor ( which I bought at the store). I held it vertically and pushed down for the fill- did not notice excess spray or hiss which indicates a good fill(?)
Inserted the mag , pulled the trigger which works but no gas.
Have I done something wrong or a defective empty tank. Thanks!
It's not necessarily the mags. There is a slight alignment issue with some of the Oasis and needs to be disassembled and reassembled properly. It also appears that a break in period is required to get everything moving correctly. I don't have mine with me at the moment and it's been a little while since I handed it off for a custom Kydex holster to be made, so I can't say what the issues were. I can try to dig around and see if I posted it in my review thread posted on a private forum.

For those who are still interested in this thread.I went to the dealer today.
He immediately found the adapter to be defective-changed it and successfully
filled with my propane. I got about 35 shots one one fill which I believe is good.
I filled again with no problem- so back in the game.

I am posting a new thread, as a newbie ,on bb weights and hop up adjustment.
