1939 Radio project.
I picked this beauty up a little while ago. Idea was to simply remove the old dead guts and replace it with a portable speaker hooked up to an MP3 player loaded with WW2 era songs, broadcasts and the like.
And here's a quick (albeit, crappy quality) of it working: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzSt5...ature=youtu.be 70 year old dust is horrid, ugh. Neat little thing for the living history events.

Since it's for the whole group, I'm sharing just a bit. @Tank. Thanks man, I've already got some D-day broadcasts and more on the way!

One of our members made a similar prop for a local re-enacting event. Its a nice touch.
What I'd like to do is get an old phonograph. We also set up an airsoft firing range. Very popular with both the kids and adults. |

I actually have almost the same radio sitting in our bed room at home, one my dad got years ago. The beast even worked at one time but you can't get the right tubes for them any more. I like rigging it to work with a modern radio inside. I'm not sure how the allies would or why they would be caring one around but may be we could use it. Yet another project, thanks John.
