ICS V2 spring guide screw mandatory or not?

Hello!
As title says, is the V2 spring guide screw mandatory or not? ( On upper gearbox)
Can I put any V2 spring guide in the upper GB without this screw?
Thanks!

Its not mandatory but im sure it serves some purpose.

I left mine out by accident and gamed my ICS AEG for a year and a bit. Never noticed any issue.

Thanks!
I suppose that in regular V2 GB, the stock screw is acting for stability of the GB itself.
But for ICS upper GB, I can't see. Maybe adding rigidity to the spring guide...?
