I'm interested since I wear military pants for work cause they are FAR superior to all other pants I have tried. I'm concerned on price but lately I have been considering upgrading from Mil-tec priced pants to Tac-gear price. I find for the $40ish I get my Mil-tec pants for they last great since I have a couple pairs I have run at least 80 work days each and they only have minor damages I can fix myself and I'm thinking the $100 for tac-gear quality would be even more enjoyable. Problem is I doubt tac-gear does any CADPAT and I feel a need for two or three solid CADPAT loadouts....

These would likely be AT LEAST $202 per pair. I still haven't got materials info back yet, but at least they responded saying that they'll still do custom orders and that she'd check exactly what kind of materials they needed and what the ideal quality of the materials would be.

Alright, so she got back to me and just said "We use 50/50 NYCO RIPSTOP fabric". For those of you with appropriate knowledge on fabric types, especially those of you with access to CADPAT material, is this source-able in CADPAT?

If not, is there an alternative which is MORE or EQUALLY durable that we can use?

I've requested the amounts of fabric required per pant and other specific details. I also asked what material they use for the "stretch panels" in the pants since it's obviously not the same stuff (so far as I can tell). I told her that if we couldn't get CADPAT stretch panel material that we would likely request that they use their own OD color material for that.

I believe 50/50 NYCO is the same as issued uniforms or at least it's the same, as the stuff of CP Gear's stuff IIRC. Even better if we can get the IR treated stuff, sure you wouldn't have a problem selling these out to CF members pretty quickly. I'm down for a pair.

The IR treated stuff would likely be unattainable based on what I've heard. Again, if those of you that are able to supply CADPAT can prove me wrong then by all means we can try to get this made from the real stuff.

And although I'm sure CF personal going overseas would love some of these, if they're not IR treated they wouldn't be suitable. Not to mention, based on what I've heard the individual would need to get permission from his CO to wear them.
