New WE G18 gbb?

Was just browsing WE's site and came across this:

http://www.weairsoft.com/detail.php?id=211

Looks like a new gbb pistol from them? I searched google and youtube but there were no results... Anyone know what's up?

If you want a cheaper alternative, stick with the VFC.

Do you say this because it's a WE, or a G18 gbb, or another reason?

hahaha, Second that thought Strelok... and I think he means a WE... sadly I wish WE was a more reliable GBB... so many cool products.

Maybe once they are done building every gun they can start working on Out Of Box Quality

Full-auto airsoft pistols tend to be extremely problematic. Regardless of the pedigree of the manufacturer, they all develop random firing issues eventually.

So if even the mighty TM and KSC aren't immune and can't make a lasting full-auto pistol, I would say that a company like WE that can't even make a lasting semi-auto GBB pistol due to substandard materials aren't likely to be able to make a good full-auto pistol.

Thats forsure! My KSC G18c has been great for along time (knock on wood)

So I could only imagine WEs version.

I bet it breaks out of box for some people

I have a video somewhere on my HD of one of the many KSC G18Cs I got my hands on couple years back ... the slide would explode off the frame .... :P

I've owned or used a number of WE guns, and while the out-of-box quality is low end, the design itself is usually sound. After upgrading necessary parts (thanks RATech) you usually have a solid, reliable weapon.

That being said, I'm going to wait to read reviews of this pistol before making any purchases. If the WE G18 has too many issues, hello TM : )

WE GBB rifles = good.

They have good, solid designs. Their externals are good quality. Internals are weak for the most part, but as you said, RaTech aftermarket steel parts can easily be swapped for durability and performance.

WE GBB pistols = shit

They're usually copies of TM, but some like certain 1911s are sort of a TM / WA hybrid with some proprietary parts. Others like the Luger are 100% proprietary.

They're usually made of really heavy pot metal. That makes slide actions slow and sluggish. The quality of the metal is questionable. It breaks easily. And 2 identical guns can have significant weigth differences, meaning inconsistencies in the metal.

Overall, you can upgrade most WE pistols to "good" standard, but by then, there's rarely anything left of the original gun except the frame.
