Kitchener Gun Law Help
Hi im sure this question has been asked many times before but I need to know for sure. I live in kitchener ontario, and was wondering what are the (airsoft) gun laws in kitchener? I have an AK 47 370FPS with orange tip on it. And are police aloud to confiscate my guns?

Ok thank you, but are cops aloud to confiscate my airsoft gun? Say they search my home and find it etc.

Probably if they had a reason for searching your home!
Are you wanted or something!

Also bylaw enforcement can and usually will confiscate if you're in violation of municipal bylaws. Quote:

In your home, keep it locked and hidden away from plain view. You are fine beyond that, it is 100% legal to own.
Basically as long as you store it properly, treat it as real you have no need to worry. If you take it out in the public they most likely will confiscate it.

Ok, I never take it out in public or outside my home, I always use it at a field and treat it as a real firearm. I just didn't wan't to get my gun taken away when i buy my new one that cost a lot of money.

If police confiscate your guns it will be under the firearms act and the criminal code. City bylaws would be the least of your worries at that point.

Just in case you're still confused, Tryudie, it's basically saying that owning a 'gun' is permitted and within the law, but firing or showing it in a public place is not. Even waving your gun around in your front lawn is a bad idea, so don't do it.
Sorry if I did a complete regurgitation of anyone's post.
