Intelligent balance charger help.
I bought an intelligent balance charger. model ev 650. For some reason I thought I needed it. because some one suggested getting "A good smart charger like "insert brand here"." But it was a newb move on my part. To make matters worse it didn't come with an adapter to charge my nimh batteries. It has an adaptor for deans connectors but not you standard nunchuk style connector (tamiya i think they're called). So plz, help is needed.

Most likely you will have to craft or buy an adaptor.

This is what you're looking for plug one end to your deans connector and the other to your battery:
http://airsoftgear.ca/index.php?main...x&cPath=10_167 Also just to note you can change your battery from Tamiya to Deans. It's relatively common and easy to do if you've done some soldering before, just make sure to use a heat sink and don't overheat the wires on the battery.

Yup, change battery to deans. Solder and heatshrink one connection before you cut the other so you don't accidently short the leads.

Theres no such think as a nunchuck plug. Most guns/batteries come with Tam, But it's recomended by pretty much everyone to switch to deans.

Less resistence, higher current tolerance, no chance to plug in backward, won't come undone.
Put an ohm metre on your tam plugs.. you'll be amazed at the resistence you get through them. Not to mention the shitty overall connection.

yeah, lots of problems with arcing on tamiya connectors, I don't know how they ever made it mainstream lol

Not sure but I'm 99% sure that it derives from the Molex connectors that were invented in the 50's/60's (it's exactly the same design if you look at the connectors on a computer power supply). It became "the standard" back then so I assume the Japanese (Tamiya Corp.) just followed it and that's how we have Tamiya connectors now.

Well that explains it, nobody was worried about wasting power back then lol

They're also incredibly cheap compared to other connectors.
