KSC/KWA 1911 Mag Compatibility

So, I have a KSC 1911A1, which I love. But my problem is with the base plate on the KSC mags; it's rather brittle, and I've had a couple bend and break off, rendering the mag useless. Bummer.
So, I'm wondering if the mags for KWA's M1911 MKI PTP would work in the KSC 1911A1; both are System 7/NS2, and KWA/KSC are practically the same thing except for minor details in materials and whatnot for different regions (Japan, export). I just want to kno if the KWA mags will fit in my KSC, mainly because the KWA have a thicker base plate, so should be less likely to bend. They'll also look better when I'm carrying the pistol with my USMC loadout, as the thick base plate looks like a modern MEU mag.

kwa is the same as ksc. so it will work.

where did u get ur ksc 1911??

I know KSC and KWA are basically the same thing, but the two 1911s are subtly different. The KSC is a plain, old school A1, whereas the KWA is a more modern, MEU style with dust cover rails and ambidextrous controls. So while I'm sure the two function the same, I'm concerned that there might be minor fit issues, like the mag not seating or getting jammed. I'd just like some certainty before I drop a bundle on new mags.

depending on the version of ur KSC 1911, if it is a Jp version made out of ABS,then it may not be compatible; instead the metal one is exactly same as the KWA thing.

Good to know. My KSC is a full-metal, propane-ready version, so it looks like I'm gonna buy some KWA M1911 MKI mags. Thanks for the help!

Well, last night I learned (to my great disappointment) that KWA PTP mags are NOT, I repeat NOT compatible with the KSC 1911A1. The feed lips on the KWA mags have a more squared-off shape that won't even fit in the magwell.

Sigh.

Anyone need 2 unused (1 still in the box, never removed) KWA MK1 PTP mags?
