Langley School Lockdown
Hey guys, I know we're all responsible people with our guns. Keeping the idiots with Airsoft Guns from ruining it for the rest of us. But there are idiots...
ANYWAYS, If any of you live in Metro Vancouver chances are you've heard about the High School in Langley that went under lockdown because of reports of a armed man in the area the other day. I was on my way to school this morning and picked up my usual paper. Low and behold front page article about the lockdown. The "armed man" was a 17 year old kid with a "replica firearm" walking about with his friends. Just thought I'd post this here, keep tabs on the retards in our airsoft community. |

Not all people are responsible with their guns. For instance, this event. Another would be the case where kids with bb guns broke in and shot other kids with them.
I cannot say that I am completely responsible either. For instance I brought my gun over to a friends house once (who also plays airsoft) and I had put it in a simple shoulder-sling bag. Looking back on that, I realize that it was extremely stupid since the barrel had to be pushed back into the bag every once in a while. Now when I bring my gun to his house, I keep it in a gun bag and I don't go anywhere, just straight to his house.

Most of us like to think so, but this is complacency. I've seen too many careless players at games waiving barrels around or shooting in "safe" zones, and in one situation someone's loaded BB grenade was discharged. Thankfully everyone was looking away or had goggles on.
My rule of thumb: Don't trust anyone. |

What was in the newspaper
He might have posted a complete article, there is no way to know if airsoft or some other form of BB/ pellet gun was involved. Even from the original article which I have linked below.
