rs type 56-1 spring
Hey I have a type 56-1. I just picked up a 110 spring went to put it in and it seems to long to close the gear box. The new spring is about an inch longer than the stock spring that I currently have . I was just wondering should I just cut it down to the same size as the stock spring? Or do I need a new spring all together?
thanks |

I just switched out my type 56 to a 110. Didn't have any problems. What brand are you using?

You shouldn't have problems. It's when your spring is shorter that you typically get problems.
Also note that I have a Modify S110+ in my rifle and it gave me around 412 FPS on .20's, YMMV but you'll be pretty up there depending on how good of an air seal you get from your compression components (piston/piston head/cylinder/cylinder head). If you've got everything else stock I'd predict around 390-410 FPS from the 110+.
