Which company makes a good VSR - 10
As you all know there are many companies out there that make the vsr -10 model and i'm kind of over welmed as of who makes the best. If anyone from the airsoftcanada community could share a bit of knowledge to steer me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Uh...
TM made the VSR-10. The rest are clones, comparable to big streaks of babyshit. Shitty stanky babysharts. So yeah. You either get a TM, or a handful of babyshit. Your pick. |

TM or go home... or you could say PDI or go home in that case...
Maybe I should clarify... if you want to go all out (receiver, outer barrel, cylinder, cylinder head, piston, spring, spring guide, bucking, barrel, barrel spacers, z/m/v trigger, etc etc) the the things that will probably stay the same are the bolt handle, hopup chamber, and the rail. The rail doesn't really matter (I think all clones have them as well), the bolt handle (the g-spec bolt handle is a lot better than the normal one), so that leaves the hopup. The pdi upgrade hopup makes you use an aeg barrel and an aeg bucking, which is overall a worse design (vsr hopup is one of the best designed hopups to date). The laylax hopup uses some proprietary bucking which is a pita (from what I've seen from my friend's), so the big thing is that the hopup and trigger group in a tm is better than the counterpart (jg). Does this warrant the 2x or so increase in price? That is up to you. Is the jg a very good clone? Yes. Will it be cheaper in the end. Yes, but if you upgrade everything, it will be marginally cheaper. Should you go with TM, I say yes, and it appears so does everybody else in this thread. Disclaimer: I don't have any firsthand experience with the laylax/pdi hopups, so correct me if I'm wrong. Everything else is from experience (PDI>Laylax) Last edited by krap101; November 1st, 2011 at 21:43.. |
