Hi capa: To Magwell or not to Magwell?
I'm building a Tm Hi-capa 4.3, and I'm wondering what pleases your eye more; to have the shooters design grip fashion a black magwell, or have it naked? I've modified the magwell so it can accept both 5.1 and 4.3 magazines.
The magwell looks like this:

I say leave it as is. What modification are you taking about? A 4.3 will take 4.3 or 5.1 mags stock.

It sounds like we're not talking about the practical and functional benefits of a flared magwell here, and just considering aesthetics.
When it comes to aesthetics, it's really up to you. Should I wear boot cut jeans or straight cut? Relaxed fit or slim fit? Asking a forum full of gun nerds a question like this is.... yeah. I'll just leave it at that. A few flared magwells hinder the ability to use the shorter based 28 round magazines, as the base pad rides higher up with less clearance at the top for said enlarged magwells. Thus, modifications are required to be made directly to the flared magwell attachment itself (and not to the grip's magwell.)
