Socom Gear (G&G) Diablo unintended full-auto for 4-5sec on semi

Hi folks,

I've got a ~1 month old SOCOM Gear PWS Diablo (a G&G M4) that has been out to a couple of games, fired sparingly, and mostly on semi-auto.

At the last game, I was firing some pre-game test shots through the chrony on semi-auto and after a few shots it suddenly went and instead fired a couple dozen rounds in full-auto for about 4 to 5 seconds straight, even with my finger off the trigger (and the selector still on semi). I was a bit alarmed, scratched my head for a bit and went ahead and tested a few more shots, and it seemed to be back to normal. The gaming started and for the first few skirmishes everything was normal, but after 2 hours or so, the unintended full-auto problem resurfaced, and happened several more times that day.

So the problem is that I intend to fire a single shot on semi, yet when I release the trigger the gun continues to fire for several seconds straight on full auto. It seemed to go away if I fired at no more than 1 round per second.

What sort of issue might I be having?

Some issue with the trigger switch. The mechbox will most likely have to be opened.
