Get M16 G&G Max to 400fps
I have a M16 G&G Max who shoot over 450fps with .20 bb's. But a lot of fields max fps is 400. So I want to lower my spring but I hesitate between 2 force. The M110 or the M113 made by PDI (the Matrix). Depending on the gun inner barrel's lenght and the spec of the G&G Max M16, someone know wich one will get me the nearest to 400fps without overpass it?
-Thanks |

The M110 should net you around 350-380 FPS, but it all depends on your rifle's airseal and other components.

ok thanks for the tips, there is someone who have allready downgraded his G&G Max to 400fps who can confirm wich one of these 2 springs is the best to get close to 400 without overpass it?

i dont think the m110 is made by PDI. PDI measures their spring power by the percentage of 1 joule. whereas all the other springs are measured by the meter per second of the bb once projected. so, an m"110" is 110 meter per second , which is 360 fps. if it's 110% of 1 joule, it would be like 1.1 joule, which is roughly 320 fps.
If you DO want a PDI spring that gets u to 400 fps, try the 170%. |

I have the G&G M16 RIS Max. I had a M120 spring installed at time of purchase in January. The gun was shooting 428 after that. I used this gun practically every week since then. It now cronoe's @ 410 to 418. Bare in mind that a new spring will lose some of its strength over time and use.

I have the same gun, just wondering, has anyone tried the spring that came with it to lower the velocity, what FPS does that give?

1 Joule is 328 fps, so 1.1 Joules is not 320 fps. I would recommend a Guarder M115 spring. I know I was getting 380 fps out of an M110 in my G&G Combat Machine and they would probably pretty similar so you have a reference.

G&G says the included spring drops it below 400 fps... I have the max m14, the manual says out of the box it's 485, we'll find out at the chrono this weekend how it compares, and then I'll put in the spring it came with and measure again next chance I get.

I have a GR16 and just installed a m110 spring. I am now chroning between 390-403 fps with the hop adjusted.

Yeah, for anyone who didn't know, hop up decreases velocity.
