so ive got my 046, and my uncle is all bitchy about "its too Overpowered" i was wondering what kind of downgrades i could do to only affect its hurt not its range, its got like 430 FPS with .2's. and aswell if i could buy these downgrades in Medicine hat alberta? im going there to do some airsofting with him and would love to downgrade there. im also looking for a dual mag clip and an extra battery and a silencer. "and maybe a rail attachment and a red dot sight" but i may have to special order these, im not age verified but can i atleast get a hint on where to get upgrades/downgrades/attachments?

Lower powered spring so lower FPS, but that can cause a loss of range. Try adding a SCS (google it).

okay... your uncle has rights to be "bitchy" if you intend to use that aeg in play it's too hot and you can seriously hurt someone.

anyways... you need a spring swap, which requires the whole gun torn down to the gearbox, and the gearbox opened. your best bet would be to find a gundoc in your local area ... and while your at it pay the extra few bucks and have the gearbox reshimmed, cleaned/lubed while it's in there being torn apart anyways.

as for FPS and range... BS and a big steaming load of BS at that... most aegs are happy in the 370-390 range. FPS helps the bb still have some authority when it gets out at max range, and helps punch through bush in heavy woodland enviroments.

good consistant barrel (length again doesn't really mean crap other then clearing the length of your outter barrel to cut down the risk of contacting it on the way out) ... a good hop rubber/spacer combination .. and good bb's ... like .28's or .30's if you can run/hop them

keep your FPS lower, spend your money on your hop up, run good bb's ... you'll put WAY less stress on your wallet and gearbox ... also consider alot of fields require you to have a sidearm over certain FPS .. and will restrict your range you can engage another target.

my last game I ran a 280fps aeg (bone stock TM insides) ...I outranged 400fps guns that just had parts thrown at them. the only real difference was it took me up to 20 rounds to chew through a bush, it took them around 5 ..

Downgrade the spring to an M120/S110, install a SCS with a good bucking. Use 0.28 or 0.30 bbs and you'll have a nice accurate, good range gun with lower fps than what you have now. A tightbore would help, but a clean barrel with the SCS will give you good enough performance.

its an amazing gun, love it. punches through tin cans at 40-50 feet away, dents them at more than 100. went and bought a silencer for it, now im gonna throw 140 for the 046a upgrade "stock grip and foregrip changed to black with finger groves and 4 rails" also bought a 120 spring to down it to like 390. going into my store in a couple weeks to buy a long tight bore barrel for it that extends into the silencer to make it almost a sniper. ill order some SCS's soon, so overall this gun will cost me about 700$ but then itll be stuffed to the tits in upgrades and anything else is minor ex. little gearbox stuff and better lube. much better than the 600$ guns you buy online.
